Kwame Ampadu
Patrick Kwame Ampadu (born 20 December 1970 in Bradford, England) is a former footballer who played for numerous clubs. He is currently working for Arsenal FC as an Academy Coach. He has previously worked for Exeter City where he has been under 18s coach under manager Paul Tisdale.
==Career==
Ampadu first played in Irish youth football for Sherrads United and Belvedere before joining Arsenal in July 1988. Mainly a reserve player, he made two first-team appearances (both as substitutes) in the 1989–90 season, his debut coming against Derby County on 24 March 1990. He then had loan spells with Plymouth Argyle and West Bromwich Albion the following season, before making a permanent move to the latter in June 1991.
Ampadu spent three years at West Bromwich Albion before moving to Swansea City in February 1994. He featured in Swansea City's 1994 Associate Members Cup win, as well as reaching the 1997 Football League Third Division play-off Final. He moved to Leyton Orient in July 1998 and reached the Third Division play-offs a second time with them in 1998–99. At Leyton Orient he scored twice, with goals coming against Rochdale in the league and Cardiff in the FA Cup. He finished his career with spells at Exeter City (where he scored twice against Swindon Town in the League Cup and Dagenham & Redbridge in the league) and Newport County.
His son Ethan Ampadu, is currently listed in the under 14's Exeter City team.
